[attr="class","infro"]don't be an asshole. This should be a no brainer, but here at SS we value respect over all else. The general idea is treat others as you want to be treated, respect and you will receive respect in return. Treat everyone with kindness and respect their wishes - this includes staff, other members, as well as guests. No exceptions. If you feel as if this rule is being violated, please shoot me a pm and we will handle it accordingly.
proboards tos As a user of a PB site, we follow their TOS to a T. With that being said, you must be at least 13 to join, be weary of fade-to-black in threads, and keep everything right around the PG-13 mark. Anything higher than that should be handled off-site -- you cannot roleplay mature themes even in pms you must do this either over Skype or on another forum. If you fail to follow this, you are not only risking yourself getting in trouble but our entire forum and therefore will have consequences.
activity Activity means that things are happening around the forum, correct? To be considered an active member, you must have at least one, in character post per week (communication threads do not count). After you register, you have 5 days to create your wip application, and from there you will have three days to complete it. Members who fail to do so will be labeled as inactive and deleted. The only exception is if you have posted an absence thread. If you have issues with any of these, please don't hesitate to send me a message. Members who have not posted with their characters ic-ly for four weeks (1 month) will be deemed inactive and deleted. Periodically, activity checks will he held, and we will ask you to provide proof of activity with at least 1 character post that has been made within the last 7 days.
aesthetics First and foremost, keep your images tasteful. No excessive boobies or asses or dicks, again, we have to follow tos. Don't feel offended if we ask you to change icons to a different image or something of the like. There are 3 different icons: a 100x100 that you change in your avatar settings, a smaller square icon (you are free to use a 100x100 - it should resize it properly as long as it is square), and a large 200x300 icon. Please do not use a moving gif as your 100x100 icon (the one you change in avatar settings), there is another area for a 100x100 avatar in your personal settings in the edit profile. As long as the image is a square, it should automatically re-size it for you. If you are having issues with sizing, please ask around! There are many people capable of making quality graphics. We also ask that when choosing images, you try to choose high quality images! This is to keep everything looking uniform and so on. And again, if you are having trouble with this, ask someone! I'm sure they'd love to help you out. Signatures should be no larger than 500px in width and 300px in height
registration Please register with your character's first name, this will make tagging (@tagged) so much easier! Ofc, you won't be penalized or asked to start over if you don't do so, it's just a great convenience thing. So, if my character's name was Park Jae Jung you would register (aka your username) would be jaejung, and your tag would be @jaejung. We prefer Korean names, and these are ordered Last First (same for any other names of Asian origin). Try to avoid repeat names (Kim Jae Jung, Park Jae Jung, etc), but it's not the end of the world if you do. In this case, you would register with the whole name or the last name and the first part of the first name (@parkjae). If your character has an English based name, please switch the order and do First Last (ie. Jay Park). Names should be in PROPER CAPITALIZATION. We don't have a limit on the number of characters you can make, we just ask that you regularly log in and post on all of them. In an ideal world, we would ask you to log in daily with all of your accounts and at least drop in and say 'heeeey' but we know everyone is busy so every 3-5 days, please log in with all of your accounts!
roleplay We do not have any kind of word count minimum here, we ask that you simply don't post one-liners, we also ask that you roleplay in third person (He/She/They). Please be aware that although our site is in English, that not everyone's first language is English, please be wary of that and simply politely correct (privately) it if it is completely wrong or simply ignore it if you understand what was being said. Absolutely no godmodding or powerplaying, unless it is discussed beforehand and you are given permission to do so. Again, fade to black if it gets too graphic. And (insert cheesy tone here) most importantly - have fun!
