CHA BO MI
CHA BO MI

[break][break]
“That’s what you get for pushing me!” seven-year-old Bo Mi yelled as she pulled at the younger boy’s hair for the second time. What gave him the right to push her during tag? Did he think he would get away with it? Her teacher came rushing towards the commotion while fussing at her in the distance. That was the second time today she had been pried off of someone and sent to timeout. Bo Mi knew that hair pulling was a big no in the eyes of others but what else was she supposed to do to signal her irritation? Cry? She wasn’t a baby. She was a big girl! [break][break]
Her face was scrunched up in confusion, “What?” the teenager questioned for the second time looking at the group she deemed her friends. “Bo Mi, you’re mean and… Chubby. That’s why boys don’t like you.” She never replied, only looking at her tummy, then arms, and lastly her legs. Maybe she was a bit chubby. Maybe being chubby at this age wasn’t considered to be cute anymore. She had to change, she didn’t want to be seen as ugly or unwanted. It left a horrible feeling in her stomach. “Oh…” Bo Mi finally replied. [break][break]
Stomach aching Bo Mi sat limp in the secluded area known as her “second home”. It was an unpleasant sight, cheek pressed against the cold toilet seat as her eyes were glued to the contents that were once in her stomach swirl down the once pristine toilet bowl. “You’re disgusting” she reminded herself before heaving up the rest of her mother’s dinner for the fifth time this week. It was the only way she could become pretty, or at least decently attractive. She had been doing this for months now and the results were beginning to show. Bo Mi was excited to throw away the title of “chubby girl”. There was a light at the end of the tunnel, a glimmer of hope, a new title; a new her. Starving herself was the only way to go seeing as everything else hardly worked. [break][break]
“You’ made an amazing recovery Bo Mi. So glad to finally release you today.” Her doctor chimed getting up from her seat to give the younger one a hug. “I won’t miss this place, but I’ll miss you!” Bo Mi grinned returning the hug. The female had been struggling with bulimia nervosa for a year and a half. But because of the watchful eyes of others, teachers and friends quickly caught on to her horrible habits. From there she went to a recovery clinic for a couple of months and soon was back to her normal self again. While she was back to the upbeat hair pulling Bo Mi there was a voice in the back of her mind constantly reminding her to watch what she ate. Not to mention the constant echo of “Don’t be the chubby girl”.

You should become friends with Bo Mi because she can give you the hook up at the café she works at if her head isn’t glued in the books. But she is pretty social. She picked up this weird talent of memorizing faces that come into the café she works at and if she sees you on the street she’ll spark up a conversation with you (probably) and not think it’s strange at all. Need help with studying? She’s got you covered, while she doesn’t look like a bookworm Bo Mi takes her studies very seriously but look out. She is a very serious tutor. Bo Mi is also really into baking for some strange reason but never eats what she makes; only gives it to others. Anyway, be fake friends with her for the food or just be regular friends. Whatever floats your boat.

I’d dislike her too if she forgot to add pineapple juice to your smoothie that one time. Totally understandable. But unless you were one of the many childhood friends that got their hair pulled by her then I don’t know who else would be enemies with Bo Mi. But that doesn’t mean mischief can’t be created. Ex-best friends, negative influences. I’m all open for everything. I love my characters having a shitting time.

Love it for loser butt faces. That’s what Bo Mi thinks anyway. But honestly, if you flirt with her or compliment her in any way shape or form she will think of it as a joke. She’s not 100% confident with herself despite going through recovery so when the opposite sex takes an interest in her Bo Mi honestly thinks they’re doing it to make fun of her or to pass time. All I can say is good luck.
